Lady with offering table in Roy’s tomb

A mural detail in the tomb of Roy shows an unidentified lady sitting on a seat with a beautifully decorated red cushion. In front of her stands an offering table which includes vegetables and breads. On a larger scale we see a Sem priest with leopard skin behind her and part of the seat of Roy’s wife before her. Roy was an 18th dynasty royal scribe during the reign of Horemheb. His tomb (TT 255) can be found in the Necropolis of Dra Abu el-Naga on the Westbank at Luxor. It is one of the socalled “Tombs of the Nobles”
