Medinet Habou - Remains of Hall of Columns, another view 1857
View of the remains of the hypostyle hall of the temple complex at Medinet Habu. The bases and lower portions of four large columns are visible in the foreground. Remains of other columns and stone walls carved with hieroglyphs in middle ground to the left. Large pile of debris next to a partially collapsed brick structure on the right. The temple complex, built over structures dating from the Middle Kingdom, dates from the New Kingdom to the Late period (c.1550-332 BC) and it consists mostly of the mortuary temple of Rameses III (1184-1153 BC).
