Medinet Habou - Remains of Hall of Columns

View of the remains of the hypostyle hall of the temple complex at Medinet Habu. The walls and the surviving lower portions of the columns are carved with hieroglyphs. Two local men are sitting on the bases of two columns in the foreground. The temple complex, built over structures dating from the Middle Kingdom, dates from the New Kingdom to the Late period (c.1550-332 BC) and it consists mostly of the mortuary temple of Rameses III (1184-1153 BC).
