The manner they hold themselves, as well as their clothing, is unlike anything else in the Theban necropolis. They are walking forward with their hair cascading down in front of them in a half-bent position. Their dangling limbs are oddly small, nearly fading away in comparison to the mourners behind them. They are dressed in form-fitting white gowns with yellow or red shawls covering their shoulders. The role of these women is unknown; it could have been related to priestesses performing a ritual or performing a particular dance.
